Winter Solstice Yoga: Honoring the Unity and Polarity of the Darkness & the Light
On this longest night and shortest day in the Northern Hemisphere, join Besenia for a practice that will honor the complementary energies of dark – which we might associate with seeding, hibernation, rest, pause, reflection, receptivity – and light – blooming, rebirth, renewal, passion, and (re)awakening. This slow practice will focus on exploring states of grounding and stability from which we can restore and nurture the ability to open ourselves up to the season ahead. Expect gentle hip opening and leg stretches, twists and forward bends to create space and length and promote introspection, and a generous, centering relaxation.
